About Zonta



Zonta is a global organization that advocates for women's rights and empowers women through service and advocacy.

Zonta's mission is to create a world where women have equal access to resources and decision-making positions,
and are free from violence.

What Zonta does:

  • Awards scholarships


  • Zonta Rose Award for non-traditional students
    Zonta Young Women in Leadership for those age 16-19
    Zonta Women in Business Leadership for both undergraduate and graduate students
    Zonta Women in STEM for those pursuing degrees in any STEM area
    Amelia Earhart Fellowship for graduate students in Aerospace science and engineering

  • Funds local, domestic, and international projects

  • Zonta's Foundation for Women funds projects that impact women and girls around the world,

  • such as healthcare projects. Locally, Zonta of Johnson County works with the Family Crisis Center.
    We also recognize Women of Influence in Johnson Country at our annual luncheon.


  • Advocates for women's rights

  • Zonta works to end violence against women, child marriage, and trafficking.

    Collaborates with the United Nations

  • Zonta has consultative status on the United Nations ECOSOC committee.
