Zonta Rose Award

Local Award $1000 with a chance to win an additional district award

The Rose Scholarship is an award to a non-traditional student, female head of
household, and primary wage earner of the family. Applicants should be individuals
pursuing post-high school training or certification programs not necessarily requiring
a baccalaureate degree. The recipient must use the scholarship to attend an
educational institution that is accredited and normally maintains a regular faculty and
curriculum and normally has a regularly enrolled body of students in attendance at the
place where its educational activities are regularly carried on. This scholarship can
fund a certification program such as law enforcement or fire training education at a technical/trade school or a community college.

The winner of this scholarship will automatically be submitted to the Zonta District 10
Rose Scholarship Committee for consideration. If selected, she receive an additional
award.





Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award

Local award $1000 with a chance to win additional district and international awards

This scholarship is open to all young women aged 16-19, not just those with the highest grades.  We do not ask for GPA or transcripts. If you have any volunteer and/or leadership experience, we want you to apply

The goal of the Zonta Young Women in Leadership Award is to encourage young women to participate in leadership positions by recognizing the candidate’s commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements, and a dedication to building a better world for women and girls through service and advocacy.

In order for more women to be represented in key decision-making positions worldwide, we must encourage young women to pursue careers or seek leadership positions in public policy- making, government, and volunteer organizations and further their education with these aims in view.

Are you a person who has:

  • Active commitment to volunteerism.
  • Experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership (paid or unpaid).
  • Volunteer leadership achievements.
  • Knowledge of Zonta International and its programs.
  • Support for Zonta International's mission of building a better world for women and girls.





Zonta  Women in Business Leadership Award

The Women in Business Scholarship is awarded annually to women pursuing undergraduate or Master’s degrees in business management. The Women in Business Scholarships are awarded annually and may be used for tuition, books or living expenses at any university, college or institution offering accredited business courses and degrees. Application due to Zonta of Johnson County by July 31, 2025




Zonta Women in STEM

This award is for women pursuing a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) degree program, who demonstrate outstanding potential in the field.  Application due to Zonta of Johnson County by August 1, 2025

Amelia Earhart Fellowship

The Amelia Earhart Fellowship expands opportunities for women pursuing advanced studies in the typically male-dominated fields of aerospace-related sciences and aerospace-related engineering.  For more information, click here
